With the Unofficial '70s Third Floor Reunion coming up Aug. 30 at Christie's in McKinney, I decided we needed a blog.
This is an offshoot of http://picasaweb.google.com/ETSUPhoto70s, where you can see us the way we were and a few of us today. Plus there's some shots from the 2006 reunion. If you have photos from the old days, the new days or somewhere in between, send them to me at teresasmithnewton@gmail.com and I'll post them.

I am very excited about the reunion! Although I was not a photography major, I was a model for several of you. We need to decide a name so that I can make some party favors, signs, and or banners for our reunion! What about....ETSU 70's Third Floor and Beyond

At least some of you are probably asking, "who in the world are Mark and Christie Armentrout?" We are both graduates of East Texas: Mark '76 in computer science and Christie (Raynes) in '77 in journalism. I worked for both Drs. Bell and Spencer and took some photo classes. I got to know some of you on the third floor while trying to dodge work in Dr. Spencer's office. That was my speciality. Mark and I were married July 22, 1978, (30 yrs. for the math challenged), and many of you were at the wedding reception in Fairlie. While Mark and I elected not to attend, we understand that the reception adjourned to Bonham State Park where a good time was had by all...does that ring a bell?
Okayyyyyyy. I see 2 blog entries from a Susie I never knew I don't think.
Enjoy your Texas heat. It's 82 here today and sunny. Our weather is wonderful. Soon as global warming slams y'all in the face in 5 years from now y'all will be scurrying to the Canadian border. Invest in North Dakota now while land prices are reasonable.
Have a groovy reunion.
